About the Ebook
So the moment has finally arrived, and here we are taking off Corona runway leaving California - heading for The Big Journey.
The Journey we have planned and dreamt of for many months is starting with a wide smile and fueled planes.
At the foundation of any worthy journey are evenings of fine cigars and wines mixed with days of experiences of flying through magical scenery and mostly the charming people who made this journey one to remember.
There are many stories and experiences, but as always - " a picture is worth a thousand words...:"
This photo album brings a small taste of a flight journey by 12 men in three Open-Cockpit Airplanes and two R44 helicopters across the wide deserts, valleys and canyons of Nevada, Arizona and Utah.
The Journey spanned 7 days in mid-May 2008.
The route:
started at Corona, Ca (AJO) and continued via bannig (BNG) to Palm Springs, CA (PSP) to Boulder City,NV (61B) to Mesquite, NV (67L) to Page, AZ (PGA) to Monumant Valley via lake powel to Cal Black,UT (U96) then up the Colorado river to Colorado and Green Confluence to Mineral Canyon Strip,UT to Canyonlands Field,UT (CNY) to Needles Outpost to Torrey,UT to Boulder town strip,UT to Bryce Canyon (BCE) to Zion NP to Mesquite to Bullhead Laughlin,AZ (IFP) to kelso dunes to Barstow-Daggett ,NV (DAG) and back to corona.
All in all we flew a little over 1,500 miles
A big thank you to the entire bunch and to Ron particularly, without him none of it could happen.
