About the Creator
Vilis Inde operates inde/jacobs gallery in Marfa. The gallery presents work on paper by Donald Judd, Dan Flavin and othe Chinati related artists. It also presents work by Erika Blumenfeld, David Hirschi, Hadi Tabatabai, and Eric Tillinghast. A new gallery space will open in 2009, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune of Sweden. Inde and his partner own and operate Stay marfa - nightly apartment rentals. See: www.marfaretreat.com Inde practiced law in New York (Carter, Ledyard & Milburn) and Minnesota and has written "Art in the Courtroom" (Praeger 1989). This book objectively summarizes five art trials of the late 20th century. Vilis lives in Marfa, Texas with his partner Tom Jacobs presents a online investment newsletter called "Complete Value Investor".
