The Builder Priest (ebook)
The Buildings of Monsignor John Hawes in Western Australia
The John Hawes story is a rich and colourful strand in the history and heritage of Western Australia. Born in England, he lived and worked as both priest and architect in the midwest region of Western Australia in the early part of the 20th century. There are about 25 buildings or parts of buildings which he designed, and in many cases built largely with his own physical labour.
There are other books that document his life: this book is a simple photographic appreciation of his architectural legacy.
