This work is a collection of twenty-eight diptychs. Twenty-eight broken symmetries creating freedom and triggering twenty-eight escapes. Each symmetry is visually more or less imperfect. For some the unbalance is clear, in others it is only represented by a tiny detail. In some cases it is purely postulated through the intrinsic imperfection of the very act of photographing, in others it already contains a gate. As for the dynamics of the corresponding escapes, it can only be guessed, in the attempt to create a bridge between a geometric, visual, focused engagement and an ethereal, ghostly sensation of relief.
