This book is the result of a photo tour I took in June 2011. We stayed on Luzon most of the time. We interacted with the locals and went to several shops. The countryside was a great place to photograph and we covered the majority of the island. Street photography was great as the locals loved posing for the camera. We saw a small community of people living under a large train trestle. Our guide had visited them before and they were happy to see the picture from his earlier trip. We talked with the people and made friends that we sent pictures back on the next trip our guide lead.
I bought my first camera 60 years ago for 50 cents and two Wheaties box tops and got the bug. I've always taken pictures and now that I am retired, I combine my love for travel with photography. I love taking pictures of people and their environments. My goal is to visit 100 countries and bring back my impressions of each of these unique places. I'm only 32 countries short of my goal and hope to go beyond the 100 before I am no longer to travel.
