Nancy l. Dorner and Artist SinGh met at a coffee shop in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Artist SinGh was sketching a horse when Nancy passed by him. She loved his work and within minutes they decided to do a book together.
“Reflections” is the first in a collaboration series of poetry and paintings with Artist SinGh. His paintings in this book are created using an experimental art technique called “Flowism”—a process of paintings that explores the magic of color movement.
Artist SinGh, born in India, educated in the USA, and graduated from Emporia State University in 2001. SinGh completed his master’s degree in Michigan from Spring Arbor University. He settled in Michigan in 2001 and owns a studio in the city of Kalamazoo. Let’s face it, Artist SinGh is different and he loves unconventional methods. The Kalamazoo Gazette referred to him as the man who redefines art. Some like to characterize him as “The World’s Best Stunt Painter” who likes to break all the ground rules of painting—creating art without a brush.
In addition to one-man exhibitions and public sculptures in many parts of the world, Artist SinGh's work is on permanent display in galleries in the US, Dubai, and India. Artist SinGh's work is characterized as futuristic by a sense of balance in our daily life. His work is both powerful and personal. Very often Artist SinGh likes to be physically a part of his art, helping one to explore its magic.
