Journey through the months in the beauty found in the unique boreal environment of the Swan Hills in Alberta, Canada. The Swan Hills rise above the surrounding landscape to a height of over 1200 metres. First Nations peoples have considered this patch of boreal forest a 'Bread Basket' for time immemorial - hunting plentiful game and gathering unique plants. Trappers still operate their lines here. Berries are plentiful in late summer, prime habitat for grizzly and black bears, wolf and coyote, moose and deer.
