About the Ebook
It all started with a dancing green bean girl. In 2011, I began photographing vegetable people made from produce grown in my garden. This year I've branched out into photographing flowers.
I photographed most everything in this book on my kitchen table using natural light streaming in from a large kitchen window.
As I created these characters, the story seemed to write itself. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I enjoyed telling the story of Rosie and her friends.

Review of Playing With Vegetables Series : 2011
"Marianne is playing with her food; she's allowed, she grew it, and a wonderful happy celebration of summer it is to have these wonderful vegetable people running and jumping in front of your eyes. Marianne is an artist who works with yarn and textiles, her purses are a joy as is her blog, WilleWorks."
Hazel Terry, artist and educator

About the Creator
"Marianne Wille may just be a 21st century version of Beatrix Potter, though the medium of choice for this gentle, soft-spoken artist is wool and felt, not ink. After earning a BFA in visual communications from the University of Kansas, Wille worked in the 1980s as a museum exhibit designer and graphic designer with the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. She then took off several years to be a stay-at-home mother before returning to knitting in earnest and opening an online retail site to market the creatures that she develops over time with attention to detail." Andrea Hoag. "Heart Felt Creations." Lawrence Magazine, Summer 2011 Currently, Wille is photographing the flowers and vegetables from her large urban garden to illustrate her stories for children.
