Chet Jelinski was born in Newark, NJ in 1955. In the year 1970, when the Beatles broke up, he became a big John Lennon fan for the next five years and was stunned when many began talking like Lennon was a Christian, upon his murder in 1980. This book examines The Life and Death of John Lennon from a Christian Perspective, as Jelinski himself became a Christian in '75 and sadly saw no evidence that John Lennon ever became one. It was written, the author says, because no one else to his knowledge has ever bothered to examine Lennon in this way. Many will incorrectly interpret this book as being anti-Lennon, but the author merely examines the truth about the man who once sang "All I want is the truth, just gimme some truth" and then complies with John's wish.
Chet Jelinski is 59 and loves to write. A Christian since 1975, he has written and self-published books about inspiring people he's known, sports and Scripture as his wife of 35 years, Beth, has encouraged him. His Biography of Cicely Tyson is the first and only one of its kind in the world, and he also is an artist and writes Gospel tracts. Many times Chet includes his artwork on the cover of, or inside of, his books.Together, Chet and Beth have three grown children and two grandchildren and they presently live in Whiting, New Jersey. He gave up his carpet cleaning business after 35 years to write full-time and has self-published a dozen books.
